Your data
Delete your account
In the app
- Open Hagolf and make sure you are signed in.
- Tap Me (the gear, top right), then Data and backup.
- If you want a copy first, tap Download my data.
- Tap Delete my account, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm.
Deletion happens straight away, on every phone, and cannot be undone.
By email
If you can’t open the app, email privacy@hagolf.app with the subject Delete my account, from the email address of the Google account you sign in with. If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm it is you. We delete the account within one month, usually much sooner, and email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account: name, handle, email address, handicap index and settings
- Your rounds, with their entries and scores, and your address book
- Your friends, blocks, shared cards, invitations and inbox
- Your passkeys and push addresses; every sign-in session is ended
- What you bought: purchases belong to the account and end with it
What stays, and why
- Other people’s rounds. A card kept by another golfer is theirs. Your name is taken off it and replaced by “Removed player”, so their league tables still add up without naming you.
- Purchase records (what was bought, when, and for how much) are kept for 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it. They no longer point to your name or email address.
- Backups roll over on their own; deleted data is gone from them after at most 90 days.
- The copy on your phone stays until you remove it: delete the Hagolf icon, or clear the site data for app.hagolf.app in your browser’s settings.
More detail is in our privacy policy. Questions: privacy@hagolf.app.
